This is an extraordinary year for the Wine Department. In addition to a large-scale expansion of the in-house temperature-controlled wine cellar and the doubling of wine department personnel, the Wine Department will sell the collection of the late Richard C. Siskey and Diane Siskey, the largest ever single-owner wine auction for the Southeastern and mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
On September 22nd and 23rd, Leland Little Auctions in conjunction with Iron Horse Auction Company of Rockingham, North Carolina, will present over one thousand lots of the world's most notable wines from the finest vintages, including, over 90 bottles of Screaming Eagle, 60 bottles of Harlan Estate, 150 bottles of Opus One, 75 bottles of Sine Qua Non, 110 bottles from Domaine de la Romanee Conti, and 150 top-growth bottles of Petrus and Chateau d'Yquem.
The upcoming sale will intensify the auction house's efforts of attracting an increasing number of national and international bidders and consignors. This auction will be held at the Leland Little Auction Gallery on Friday & Saturday, September 22 & 23, 2017.
In the past, wine connoisseurs wishing to bid live on wine lots of this caliber would have to travel to major metropolitan areas such as New York or Chicago. Fortunately, a wine auction of this magnitude is now in the Triangle's own backyard. And with the rollout of the new Leland Little website, the wine department continues to be deeply involved in developing the most user-friendly computer wine bidding platform in the business.
